Boost Try of the Month | February

Super League’s record try-scorer Ryan Hall and Warrington Wolves young gun Cai Taylor-Wray are among the frontrunners for February’s BOOST Try of the Month competition.
England veteran Hall finished off a brilliant move during Leeds Rhinos’ Round Three destruction of champions Hull KR in Las Vegas, claiming the 350th try of his glittering career following Maika Sivo’s stunning 70m run.
But all five of the other nominations came from Round One fixtures, including electric 20 year-old full-back Taylor-Wray's dazzling solo effort in the win over St Helens.
Saints’ Tristan Sailor is also in the running for his brilliant score in the same game while Wakefield Trinity’s Cam Scott has a chance with his touchdown versus.
Innes Senior’s first try in Leigh Leopards colours against Leeds has the rangy winger in the reckoning while fellow wideman Connor Wynne completes the shortlist with his classy second score against hometown Hull FC.
BOOST has recently become Betfred Super League’s exclusive official sports and energy drink provider on a multi-year deal.
As part of its first season as official partner of the competition, the brand will give back to the Rugby League community by offering clubs and community groups the chance to receive a “Boost Grant.”
At several points during the campaign, the winning player of the Boost Try of the Month competition will be given the opportunity to nominate a local club, team or community initiative that they feel deserves support.
These nominated groups will then be eligible to receive a “Boost Grant” helping fund equipment, facilities or programmes that make a positive impact in their local area.
This added element ensures the competition not only rewards the player but also helps support the wider Rugby League community.
Lisa McKenna, Brand Director at AG Barr, said; “We’re delighted to be involved in the Boost Try of the Month competition, showcasing the very best moments on the field each month from the Betfred Super League.
“We know the Rugby League community gives so much to the sport, so this is our opportunity to provide players with the chance to reward causes and communities with our Boost Grants.
“We’re looking forward to both seeing and celebrating the amazing tries nominated, but importantly being able to reward the different grant recipients throughout the season.”
Fans can watch the BOOST Try of the Month contenders on Super League’s social channels and then vote for their winner on the Our League app.
